Doing Business Responsibly [1]
Society has increasingly high expectations for ethical behavior from global healthcare companies – expectations that very often go beyond what is legally required. We are taking steps to ensure our standards align with these expectation.
We are committed to creating a culture of integrity and trust through strict adherence to the Novartis Code of Conduct.
We strive to make efficient use of natural resources and to minimize the environmental impact of our activities and products.
We are committed to transparent reporting – a central part of our UN Global Compact obligations. Our Annual Report [3] serves as our primary reporting mechanism for corporate responsibility, and we have published a combined financial and CR report since 2000.
Our Corporate Responsibility Performance Report [4] consolidates the company’s CR reporting, details our progress and demonstrates our commitment to be a leader in corporate responsibility.
The CR Performance Report is based on the Global Reporting Initiative G4 guidelines, with disclosure at “comprehensive” level, making it the first comprehensive level-report in the healthcare industry.
